It is clear for all to see that the EDL are solely intent on causing divisions and mistrust between different groups in British society. When they wave Israeli flags at a rally or demonstration, they do so only to goad the Muslim community and to stir communal tensions. This, and everything that the EDL stands for, is utterly abhorrent. All right-thinking people should be repulsed by extremism from any quarter.

Fifteen arrested after EDL supporters clash with locals in east London
“A member of staff at the Indo, a pub opposite the mosque, said the incident began when a gang of “hooligans” entered the bar and started drinking heavily.
“They ordered lots of drinks, then suddenly went into the kitchen and grabbed some knives,” he said, requesting to remain anonymous. “Then they went outside and were shouting something like ‘Allah is a paedo’.” There was no damage to the pub, he said.
